Course was in great shape for the end of summer. A difficult course, with a lot of carrys over desert. Bring an extra sleev or two of balls!

Just out of overseeding and already in stride.. if the Pinnacle at Troon North were a race horse it would be hitting its stride right out of the gate with a crack service staff that greets you when you arrive and does the heavy lifting by getting your bag to the cart as you check in with a savvy pro shop staff. The well placed snack bar at ground level gets your on course provisions just a few steps from your cart. The practice range is top notch especially for all you ball beaters who inevitably leave it all on the range... next time save those massive drives for the course your ego, scorecard and wallet will thank you later. The starter with the pre-round amenities lets you know that you are numero uno here. Just look at your name engraved on the bag tag in case you had any doubts. Once on the first tee the lush green of the fairways awaits your drive and your views of the high desert landscape puts you miles away from your work a day world. Rounding the first turn you will hit your stride as you play your ball from well conditioned fairways to impeccable greens and yes, even that rare (for you anyway) sand shot comes from bunkers with plenty of plush sand giving you that sandie for your admiring chums. As you move around this course and hit the backstretch you will need to bring your full game as the course will test your various skills from the tee, the fairwways, the rough and especially on the greens. Getting on in regulation is good, hitting it to the right part of the green is better and knocking in that birdie or eagle putt is the best. Before you realize it, you are heading down the homestretch with some challenging holes and pin placements to test your mettle. Of course, you were refreshed by the beverage cart gal along the way with those yip ending beverages that help take the edge off and reward good play- first and last birdies of the day get a free drink -at least in my foursome. An eagle would get top shelf of course. As you walk to your ball on 18 green you will begin to wonder... "Do I have time for another round?" More importantly you will realize that playing at Troon North is like riding a thoroughbred racehorse a full gallop all the way to the finish line.

A Tough test. Very little room to work with so you better be in the fairway or real close. Beautiful Course. Staff is top notch as a conditions
